The stadium
Where we are at home.
For over 100 years, the Stadion An der Alten Försterei has been our home. The stadium is named after the nearby old forester's lodge, which currently houses, among other things, the offices of the club management.
The stadium was opened on 7 August 1920 and has undergone various renovations over the decades. However, the most significant modernizations were probably the installation of floodlights in December 2000, the complete renovation and roofing of the standing areas (construction time June 2008 to July 2009), as well as the construction of the new main grandstand (2012 to 2013).
The construction work in the 2008/2009 season is characterized by a particular feature: More than 2,300 volunteer helpers contributed 140,000 working hours, thus playing their part in the expansion.
The Stadion An der Alten Försterei remains almost purely a standing room stadium even after the renovations. Currently, our stadium offers space for 22,012 fans and spectators (18,395 standing and 3,617 seating places).
